Question:

Home improvement. Soldering copper pipe for my bathroom. Health risk?

I have been working on my bathroom for the last few days soldering the copper pipes. I have been sanding the pipes and using flux where the solder joints go. My question is,, should I be wearing a respirator? Or is it ok to work with these materials without using a respirator? I bought the solder at the home depot and I think its lead free. I‘m using a little propane torch for the job. The flux containers warnings say, may be harmful if inhaled. Does that mean its really bad? Also I have not been wearing rubber gloves to do this job.Let me know what you know about working with these materials.Thanks.
