Question:

How are aluminum alloy parts, such as 7075 parts used in knives or transportation, shaped?

Are they cast in a certain shape or are they quot;carvedquot; into the shape? what is the process? Thanks

Answer:

actually the same thing happened to me, except the snowboarder too me out too, hahahaI still use mine and they are fineIts prolly not as 'strong' anymore but its not like I actually use my poles in the park so it doesn't matter to meIf your out doing moguls and putting alot of pressure on the pole then you might want to get a new pairBut if not, don't worry about it.
same thing happened to me exept some fat lady fell on it and bent it into an L shapeI bent it back and skid with it the rest of the saesonit was perfectly fineDont waste 40 bucks with buying a new one.
yup the hole things broken it appears to have no cracks on the outside but in the inside it broken so it better to get a new one and i suggest to get one made from carbon because if That happen to the carbon one you can use it again because carbon is more durable.
in march, I fell in the backcountry and ragdolled for about a quarter of a mile, when I got up, my pole was bent all funnyI bought new ones, just because I knew the damage upped the chances of them breaking on my next big fallPoles are famous for breaking and bending at the most inconvenient timesI would buy some new cheap ones, and hope they outlast your next season, but they probably won't hahaha(:
Al 7075 parts are milled (carved), forged or extrudedThis material is not used (in general) for castingaluminium is not a good material for knives, that are made of steelAircraft use a lot of 7075.
