At the beginning when we connect the motor to the plug, it rotates in one direction and assume the flag goes up..After that how to change the direction of rotation to lower the flag?
A three-phase induction motor might be overkill, but is easy to reverse by swapping any two phases. Otherwise use a single phase motor with an electronic motor controller which has a reversing option.
It might be possible to wire-in a switching system to reconnect the internal capacitor, but I'm hazy on this. Try asking on the Engineering section.
