Question:

How can i fix my bracket?

I broke one of my brackets but each broken bracket is 40$ and my mom doesn't want to pay for it. Is there a way i could fix it on my own.??

Answer:

If the wall is drylined that is the plasterboard is stuck onto the blocks with blobs of adhesive, then the gap between the plasterboard itself and the breeze block is likely to be less than half an inch. Drill straight through the p.b and into the blocks then use the kind of long fixing plugs and screws used for fixing doorframes to walls. The same sort of fixings can be used if the wall is battened however care must then betaken not to tear a hole in the p.b. when you tighten the screws.
Im sure your orthodontist can help. if they charge you it will probably not be as much as the new ones.
You can't. Brackets must be precisely placed or your tooth will not move where they are supposed to. Also, brackets are bonded into place with a special material which are available only to dentists.
Odd that your ortho is demanding $40 for a broken bracket. Unless you are a continuous breaker it should be free (no charge) since the breaking is a common occurrence. That being said DO NOT use resin to put it back on because the placement area on the tooth is CRITICAL. Putting it just a mm in the wrong spot WILL shift the tooth into the wrong spot.I should know.i've tried :) Pay the $40 if u must but again i think it is strange he is charging you. There are many excuses u can say that will force your ortho to do it for free though
Not a good idea to fix the bracket your self if you cement it improperly. it could affect your orthodontic treatment plan and possibly retard your orthodontia time Explain to your dentist that you do not have the money, if they could please recement the bracket or replace it.
