Question:

how can i get Vaseline off of my sofa?

I have a Suede sofa and my husband sat on it last night and got vaseline on it how can i remove the vasline with out messing up my sofa

Answer:

You can try using Dawn dishwashing liquid or a 1/2 and 1/2 water and vinegar solution. Put a small amount Dawn or vinegar solution on a soft cloth or very soft-bristled brush and use a circular motion to work the cleaner into the spot. Use a soft damp cloth or damp paper towels to clean up the residue by blotting. Or, if that doesn't work, I would get a brown paper bag and an iron. Place the bag over the vaseline and use the iron on its lowest setting to iron over the spot. The vaseline will end up melting onto the bag. You may need to do it a couple times if the spot is very big or messy. Good luck!
use a pure good brand of washing up liquid. put a drop the size of the grease on the sofa and rub with a linen cloth like a drying up cloth pure linen or cotton, rub in circles lightly then wash off with warm water on a clean cloth. then dry with a dry cloth. or use saddle soap if you can get it and keep it handy for all leathers use a similar way
use a damp cloth and wipe it out, then dry it out with a hair dryer. do not rub in or rub vigorously , u might dirty it further, hope that helps.
