This is how I used to remove scratches from aluminum rimsFirst I would clean the area around the scratch, Then you need to get some appropriate sandpaper, 320+ grit work the area surrounding the scratch in a circle, Then move to a finer sandpaper like 420 grit, repeat sanding and changing paper until you have a smooth working surfaceonce the scratch is gone use some compound (can be found in the auto section at MeijersMothers is a good brand)Or if you are a day or two from payday, toothpaste will work in a pinchRub the compound in in a circular motion, once it turns black you will know you are getting somewhereWipe off the surface often, stop when you get to the desired shine, You can get a mirror shine this way.
