We got our cat when I was 6 months pregnant, and she's slept with usNow we have a 3 week old son who she thinks is a toy.and I don't want to risk her pawing at him or sleeping on him when I'm sleeping. So when no one can watch her we put her out in the porch, its where her food water and litter box areBut she always scratches to get in! She does it loudly and it sounds like nails on a chalkboardThe porch isn't heated and on cool nights I let her inside, with the door open just enough for her to get inIf i close my bedroom door she scratches that tooI've tried to just ignore her, and hope she'll go lie down but no luckI know the baby is new to her and she doesn't understand why she can't come sleep with us anymore and I feel very sad for her. She's not allowed in the Babys room at all, and will often ignore it even of the door is open.but the baby sleeps on a bassinet next to our bed.Tips?.suggestions.?
They hate aluminum foilYou could try laying a couple of sheets on the floor outside of the doorShe won't want to stand on top of it to scratch at the door.
