Question:

How can i stop my german pretzels from sticking/ burning? Please, i'm desperate!?

i have been baking german pretzels lately in my gas oven on the lower racki first used aluminum foil but that cooked the bottoms quicker than the restthen i tried wax paper and sprayed a little pam spray on itit didnt cook faster than the rest, but stuck bad when i tried to pull them offi feel like parchment paper would burn in there because it is up on about 425 fahrenheitsomeone please help me start salvaging these

Answer:

Parchment paper should be fine at 425Just don't let it have any overhangParchment paper turning brown is normal and fineA normal greased tray usually works wellAlso, I have heard that the lye solution on the outside of german pretzels is supposed to not only give the pretzels a gloss, but help it not stick to the pan? I'm not sure about that last bit though.
Go into the produce section in your grocery store and just look aroundFor fun try fruits and veggies that you have no idea what they are! (remember their names so you can find out online how to eat them)Sandwiches and salads are endless possibilities, You can do a huge sandwich with tons of stuff in it (several kind of cheeses, ham, turkey, tomato, lettuce, pickles, egg.) and then eat half of itSalads are the same, except with no bread and more greensMake a soup with your favorite veggies (I like carrots, potatoes, turnips, leeks and onions) with your favorites herbsThen you can eat it for several days, by reheating a bowl a couple of minutes in the microwaveYou can add a slice of ham or a piece of sausage to it (do not salt your soup)You cannot have dessert after a meal when you're watching your calorie intake.so make dessert your lunchYou can bake a cake and eat a few teaspoons of ice-cream with itIf you watch out for proportion sizes, you can eat high calorie food.
