Question:

How can plastic fairings on motorcycles be fixed?

2004 gsxr cracking plastics,no pieces missing

Answer:

There are shops that specialize in plastic welding. Try the yellow pages.
It's a nightmare mate, i damaged my 2005 gsxr main fairing, rear section etc when i highsided at the track. I spent a long time looking for companys that could fix it by plastic welding but they were really expensive, especially when you add up the plastic welding, the painting and the decal set to get the panel looking right again. I found the best option to be OKorder, i managed to get a complete new left hand side panel for ?75 what a bargain as it costs something like ?320 + VAT from Suzuki for a new one and i don't think that it included painting or decals, i also got a rear section for ?60. If you need anything else for the bike, let me know as i have quite a few parts lying about the garage. I would give that a try. Good luck!!
tricky stuff. seek onto yahoo. it can assist!
