Question:

how can you clean silver with a house hold product?

i have a very spical necklace i want to wear but the chain has turned a dark color and i wanted to know if there is any household product i could use to clean it

Answer:

boron is 2nd row its aluminum i just had a test on this
this is very easy to do on all silver jewelryTake a bowl and put a doubled piece of aluminum foil in the bottomAdd 3 Tablespoons baking soda and set your necklace in the B sodaPour boiling water over it and it will foam (it causes a chemical reaction) until the necklace is coveredLet it sit for at least 15 minutesRemove and rinse in clear waterUse a soft cloth to polishIf there is still some tarnish on the chain, use some of the B soda and a toothbrush to gently wipe it awayEasy and it works!
