it is a metal kitchen door, with a large window that i dont want to leave open
You'll have to drill pilot holes for the screws. Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw. You'll want to use a better screw than what comes with the curtain rod, those are usually flimsy and snap easily.
If you don't want to put screws in you door there is a product that photographers use to hold things on walls its like a plastacine putty you could put the bracket holders on with that and put up the curtains. Try any hardware store they should have it, sorry I don't remember the name of the product. Good luck
Get a spring loaded curtain rod or if the bead curtain is too heavy, spring loaded shower rod. Typically these have sections the screw out to lengthen/shorten the overall fit and then a short section of spring to hold the rubber tips against the wall. If it persists in slipping, a square or tape or of the rubber antislip strips put on bath tubs or step edges will help. If this is just for the purpose of selling your house, why?
Magnetic Shades For Metal Doors
Hi: I think the best bet is magnetic curtain rods.....they come in many colors and sizes.....they are available in most places that sell curtains, shades, and rods. DO NOT make any holes in your metal doors.....they are metal for your protection again fires so don't ruin the integrity of the door.....
