My 7 yr old will not go into the bathroom at school if it is empty, because he is afraid the fire alarm will go off. He would rather wet his pants in class than use the restroom. How can I rationalize with him not to be afraid of the fire alarms? I have tried explaining that fire alarms are to help us and I have shown him videos of fire alarms on Youtube.
That sounds like a scene from half the horror movies made since 1974! Let me guess: the phone finally rings, but the call comes from inside the house!
