Question:

How do I glue plastic???

I volunteer at an old age home and one of the old women has had broken glasses for a while now and I would love to fix them how do I glue plastic?? I hate to have to tape it!!!

Answer:

Hot glue
super glue, hot glue, gorilla glue if u want to wait 4 hours while applying pressure
5 minute epoxy glue would probably work best for this problem. That way they wouldn't be without their glasses that long. As an older person, I thank you for the work you are doing for the elderly.
Good old Testors Model glue.Still comes in a leadfoil tube, and will work on nearly any type of plastic.Use only as much as will cover the area that's broken, and let it dry for 5-6 hours. Pick it up at most department stores with a toy section.
IF the plastic is polystyrene, model cement will work fine. You can also find cement for ABS plastic at any good model - hobby shop. When all else fails... I'd go get some epoxy, though it will be 8 hours of curing time. GOOD LUCK and thanks for being a volunteer.
