Question:

How do i hook up a ceiling fan with only one white and one black wire.?

Ceiling fan has Green, Blue, black and white and the ceiling only has a black wire and white wire.

Answer:

blue and black to black and white to white. (blue is for the light) If you look deeper in the ceiling you should find a bare copper wire and that would go to the green. (if you cant find it,then wire as stated)
That fan has separate power leads, either for light/fan, or two speeds. The simplest way is just tie black and blue from the fan to blk from the box, and white to white. The wall switch will control the whole thing, one speed or fan + Lt.s.
Do what Elaine said above. If there is not a light, don't use the blue wire. If there isn't a green wire or bare wire in your box, attach the fan's green wire to the electrical box itself (if its metal.).
The blue and black wires from the fan are twisted together and attached to the black wire coming from the ceiling box using the enclosed wire nuts. The white wire from the fan goes to the white wire from the box. There may be a bare copper wire bent up into the box, if so pull it down and attach the green wire to it. If there is no bare wire you can get a short piece of bare copper wire and attach it with a screw to a hole in the metal box with an 8/32 machine screw. Wrap the copper wire clockwise around the screw, tighten, and then join green wire to bare. If you have no bare wire and the box is plastic then you will have nothing to use the ground wire to and it will be unused.
