Question:

How do I insulate a pop bottle?

Ok, basically, for (gr7) science class, we're learning about heat and temperatureThese are the materials we have:- 2L pop bottle (clear)- 2 ftof aluminum foil- 3 sheets of white printer paper- 2 sheets of black construction paper- 40 cotton balls- 2m of tapeUsing only these materials, we need to insulate our pop bottle so when our teacher takes it outside in the snow, it won't get cold on the inside, but when she brings it into a really hot room, it can't get hot on the insideI needed a little bit of help because I'm thinking to cover the outside with tin foil and white paper, and putting a little bit of tin foil and black paper on the inside with cotton balls in between the wall of the bottle and the papersAny other suggestions; how can I maintain the temperature? Thanx! ;)

Answer:

sheets weekly, blankets, every 2-3 weeks
I change every weekSheets, blankets, pillow cases, towels, all go to the laundry in 6 daysBeyond that is gross.
You should change the sheets at least twice a week; anything less is just frikkin grossBlanket, not so often, maybe every two weeks.
Your question is a little jumbled so I don't know exactly what you are asking, but here are my thoughtsWash your sheets once in week in hot waterThe mattress pad maybe once a month, dependingBlankets maybe 4 times a year-dependsDepends means are you sweaty or did the mattress pad get stained, did you lay on your blankets with dirty clothes or do your pets sleep with youWe have an epidemic of bed bugs in the metro area where I live so I'm washing bedding and clothes all the time because I don't want cooties moving in with meI vacuum a lot, too.
I think you’ve got exactly the right ideaThe shiny side of the foil will reflect back any heat or cold - so have a shiny foil cover on the outside as well as another layer facing insideBlack colours will absorb heat, while white colour will reflect heatDon’t worry about the colour of the, just use it as structure and cover it in foilMost important for the insulation is you get a good gap of at least 1cm between the two layers and pack that with cottonwoolMake sure the top and bottom are insulated tooFor extra points your could try make a fitted lid, just make the cylinder for the lid slightly wider than the bottle cooler.
