This is a beautiful fuchia pink 100 % polyester with secquins on the net over the polyester. I guess I should let a cleaners do it but my mother use to iron mine and they always looked lovely. Do I put a damp cloth between iron and dress? Can‘t remember what my mama did. Thanks for any help.

I don't recommend doing that. I don't know how many things I have burned up ironing them. Take it to the dry cleaners in the long run it will be alot cheaper.
Keep them aired up to the correct amount of air pressure and rotate them when needed. Always check your tread to make sure you still have enough traction, otherwise you will need a new set. Sounds like your tires are really worn out and need replacing. If they are fairly used, just take them to a tire shop and they can repair it for you.
