Question:

How do I know if a car alarm is still in my car?

I bought a decked out paseo and am finding thinggs out with the car that the guy I bought it from did not know about. Now theres this sticker on the window that says Black widow alarm and there is a red light that lights up when I start the car right beside the clock on the dash. If there is still an alarm system attached to this car would it be somewhere under the hood?

Answer:

well, there are many ways to hide an akarm system so i'm not sure if it will be under the hood but anyway it is probable. wanna know it in the easier way? turn off your car and get down, close it and then hit it anywhere with a little force but not trying to damage it. if the alarm starts that means you have one! XD well, this is not too complicated and you'll find easily what you want.
It could be anywhere, but to test it out. Why don't you roll down the drivers window, walk out the car, shut the door. Lock all the doors and that should set the alarm. Wait 30 secs, now reach into the car and open the drivers door. If an alarm is present, this act should set it off.
If the red light is part of the alarm system, and it lights up, then the alarm is still connected in the car. Usually the only thing under the hood would be a siren; the brain of the alarm system is most likely under the dash, usually on the driver's side. However, it might be hard to find; the better installers try to hide the alarm module.
