This morning i woke up and was about to take a shower and no hot water and usually the hot water comes rather fast when i turn it onso how do i know if its my piolet light or if i need a how water heater
Open the panel at the bottom of the heaterIf it is lit, you will see itIf it is not lit, get some long matches or a long nosed barbecue literOn top of the control will be a knob that says Off Pilot and ONTurn it to the pilot positionWhen you do, the button to the left can be depressedNext look on the bottom of the controlOn the right side will be a small aluminum tube, on the left a thin copper linefollow those lines to the pilotWhile depressing the button on the top of the control put a lit match to the pilot next to the main burner and lite the pilotOnce lit, hold the button down for about 30 seconds and let it uppilot should stay litreplace the panels and turn to on positionIf this doesn't apply let me know and we will go from there
