Question:

How do I make cilantro lime rice and how do I cut the cilantro up?

I am in love with Chipotle Cilantro Lime rice and I wanna learn how to make it. I got some crappy recipe online yesterday and tried to make it and it was just horrible. Can someone please give me a very detailed recipe please!!!! Thanks

Answer:

This recipe was given to me back in the 70's by a lady tennis player in Key West, Florida. 9 inch baked regular crust or favorite graham cracker crust. 4 oz. lime juice ( Key Limes), you squeeze. not bottled. 4 egg yokes. 1 can condensed sweetened milk. Mix together pour into prepared crust. Top with cool whip or whip cream. Keep refrigerated. For firmer texture cover and store in freezer. For a lighter less tart texture, reserve beat 2 egg whites with a pinch of salt until peaks form, fold into lime mixture. You can also make a meringe topping, too.
ummm... :[ idk how many limes you use... sorry :[ ill post a question if you want..... i only found the whole recipe but you can just skip the parts you know or something and read the rest :] hope it helps ;] these are yo ingredients: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup granulated sugar 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick butter) melted 2 (14-ounce) cans condensed milk 1 cup key lime or regular lime juice 2 whole eggs 1 cup sour cream 2 tablespoons powdered sugar 1 tablespoon lime zest and these are yo instructions: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter with your hands. Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie pan, and bake until brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature before filling. Lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees F. In a separate bowl, combine the condensed milk, lime juice, and eggs. Whisk until well blended and place the filling in the cooled pie shell. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes and allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Once chilled, combine the sour cream and powdered sugar and spread over the top of the pie using a spatula. Sprinkle the lime zest as a garnish on top of the sour cream and serve chilled. HOPE IT WORKS AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! :]
