Question:

How do I paint an aluminum mailbox?

The plastic number my husband applied when new has slowly peeled offSince the thing is in shade, and subsequently covered in algae and needs total cleaning, I figured I'd paint a small decorative scene, or an elaborate housenumber on the sideWhat would you suggest to clean off the green algae/ mold? What about to prep the surface? I've heard of an etching primeris that necessary, or should I debride the surface with my disk sander? What about sealants? Any suggestions would be appreciatedThanks.

Answer:

Everyday, I come hear to take the headache out of being bored.
I would do what Justin wrote and as far as paint goes I would use small jars of different color Acrylic lacquer paints to paint your art workLacquer is what they use on Autos and is very hard and holds up in the elementsAlso when you are done I would use a can of clear lacquer spray to give it a few coats to protect the paintLet dry between coats. It then should last for 8 or many more years Clean the box real good down to the metal and primer, basically what Justin wrote and then go from thereYou can find this paint at any auto store or craft store, they come in small bottles with twist of caps.
i get bored every min of the day
i'm honestly never boredi always find something to doplus i think being bored is soo stupid, because come on, there are so many things to do out there! just pick somethinglol
