Question:

How do I paint my aluminum boat?

I have a aluminum bass tracker and I want to paint it one solid color and.put a decal on it, whats the easiest way? I dont have no big sanders or nothing like thatI dont know if they make some spray paint for stuff like that

Answer:

It may take several overlapping layers to do the job but it will work.
Yes, that will workBut, getting paint drop plastic sheets and cutting them to length would be cheaper and work betterBlankets has holes in them and plastic is air tight.
You want a good oil based paint for this project, I would use Rustoleum if you have that in your areaI wouldn't use spray paint, I would use regular paint with a brush and or small rollerPrime it first with oil based Rustoleum primer, then use 2 coats of the final colorYou didn't say if it was alreay painted, or if it really needs to be sanded or notIf its in decent shape, just start with the primerIf it needs to be scraped and hand sanded, then just do that to the spots that need it.
