How do I remove static from a floor length evening dress? It has a layer and then another layer over it (spandex/polyester and something else combo, its actually beautiful minus the cheap fabric that you don‘t even notice it). I already sprayed it down with static guard and have left it out of the plastic garment bag it came in. Other then a dryer sheet, any other suggestions???
Try increasing the humidity around it. Your best bet is to hang it in your bathroom and keep the door and windows closed and run the hot water in the shower until the room steams up enough. Or you could iron it but that might ruin your dress.
Take a damp cloth and run it between the material. That should break the static.
