How Do I Run The Power Cable From An Amp Wiring Kit From The Battery In To The Car Without Drilling?

i have a 99 T reg subaru impreza turbo 2000, i want to install my amps and subs myself and i undestand the principal of what i need to do i just cant seem to find any obviouse way of getting the wiring kit power cable from the battery to the inside of the car. can anybody help?

Answer:

okay, you must look on the right h, side under your hood, theres normally a small gap that you could run a cable through and it comes out on the passenger side underneath the cubbie hole,,,if it doesnt, you have to look under by where the cubbie hole is and you should see the wire...you run it under the panels that cover the seat belts and as u step in the back...its a plastic black cover,,,you will be able to run it from the front right into the boot
Check along the firewall for someplace you can squeeze it in, ususlly by the foot pedals or the grommet around the steering wheel. Some cars you can actually run the wire along the wheel well then through the door jam and into the car there. You may have to drill a hole in the fire wall depending on the guage of wire you are using, as I am not too familiar with subarus, however if you do, any car audio shop should have a grommet to fit over the wire and will waterproof and fireproof that hole you drill
Find the firewall hole that other electrical wires come through and use that, be careful and be sure to unhook the battery before you try doing this. Also make sure the power wire will not snag any moving parts in the engine compartment.
not sure about your car, but ford mustangs are a huge pain unless you drill a hole (i know, I cut myself many times trying to install a buddy's system), if your wires are small enough, you may be able to slip it through the firewall for a clean installation, if you dont care about a clean install, you can run it up the hood and in the door XD (a friend of mine did this as well, looked horrible, but I'm a fan of clean installs) I prefer to drill holes if I cant find a hole in the firewall big enough, but be careful where you drill, its unlikely but you may end up hitting something like the transmission, engine block, or something fragile. Hope this helps.
Check the firewall under the dashboard. You may have to cut a hole in a rubber plug and run the wire through there. Make sure you run the power wire along the opposite side of the car as the RCA cable or else you will hear engine noise through the speakers. Remember to keep the ground short and to attach it to a clean paint free metal surface of the floor board that is properly grounded to the frame. Happy thumping
