I got mine done this morning, and like the dumba** I am, I got it on the side that I sleep on. A friend of mine said she slept on hers the first night and didn't hurt and it was fine, but I don't believe that to be true. If I have to sleep on my other side, I could but it's very hard for me to fall asleep like that, and I often switch positions while asleep unconsciously. Any tips?
Unless you take it out, there isn't much you can do. To help me fall asleep (I'm a side sleeper btw) I lie on my back, close my eyes and stay super still. I don't think about anything, just picture all black. I breathe in and out slowly, holding my breath each way. I usually fall asleep no problem that way. You will probably turn in your sleep, you will just need to see how it is tomorrow I guess :)
Invest in a travel pillow that looks like a donut. That way when the side of your head is touching the pillow your ear can be in the center of it and you're not putting pressure on the piercing as it is healing. If you have a bigger bed and roll from one side to the other, get two.
Mine was too painful when I got the industrial done to sleep on the same side. I took a blanket, rolled it up, and placed it at my back so it would deter me from rolling over onto it. After about a week I was good to go on sleeping on that side. However, it#x27;s been two years and sometimes it gets too sore to sleep on the side with the industrial. I have definitely learned that it will always be sore if I constantly sleep on the same side every night instead of rotating sides. I learned the hard way about 2 weeks ago when I got the opposite side pierced at the rook. Good luck!
