Question:

How do you determine the grade of gear?

How do you determine the grade of gear?

Answer:

According to the international standard ISO1328.1 and the national standard GB/T10095.1-2001, the gear accuracy is divided into 0~12 grades. The bigger the number, the lower the accuracy. The 0~2 class belongs to the development level, and there are few manufacturers who can do the 2 gears in China. The 3~5 stage is called the high precision stage, and the 6~9 stage becomes the medium precision class, and the 10~12 stage is called the low precision stage. High precision for measurement, instrumentation and aviation requirements such as high structure, moderate level of accuracy for automobiles, machine tools, gear pumps, agricultural machinery, low level of accuracy for low requirement of machinery, such as brick, grass cutting machine etc.. In a word, consideration should be given to design requirements, manufacturing processes and costs.
