I have a dwarf lime tree that is bearing fruit. How do I know when it is time to pick them?
I prefer lime for Asian and TexMex foods, and lemon for Italian, Greek, and Moroccan food. I do NOT use lime-ade or lemon-ade as those contain sugar and if you're making a savoury dish, you really don't want a sugary drink as a marinade. Buy some real fruit.
They will work the same so it is a question of taste. I would only use lime for a 'special someone' who likes it, I prefer lemon or malt vinegar for fish anyway. You didn't mention what you are doing, lemon and lime would be appaling to some meats Chetak
