its science and we need to make a can crusher that obeys these rules:1) the force needed must be small enough that a child could operate it. ( by child, it could mean about 5 to 8 probably )2) it should be operated simply and safely.i dont want it too complicated. basically i will use wood and nails and stuff like that. if it helps, im only in the 8th grade. cant do that much hard stuff.

what i would do it something like this an upside down t, with a board on the center part parallel to the bottom, then have a board on a pivit in the center of the center board of the T, that way, when its stepped on, the board on the pivit will rocket into the extra board (on top) and crush it
