Question:

How do you make red skinned potatoes?

I have a bag of quot;Gourmet Petite Red Potatoesquot; that I got from MeijerI want to make 6 of themI've never cooked red skinned potatoes before though, so I'm wondering, how do you cook them? What temperature do I need to turn my oven to, how long do I cook them, and do I cover them with aluminum foil? Thanks! D

Answer:

Heck no! If I have to make that much food, I either wait until the last minute and throw it on the grill, then serve it directly from the grill, or I fill up a couple Crock PotsI own a roaster, but it lives at my mom's houseI think I need to invest in another one for large parties.
We only use disposable aluminum pans when preparing food for a party or another event where tons of people are comingBecause they come in such large sizes, food preparation is much easier when a large crowd needs to be served and recipes must be tripled in order to feed everyoneThey are easy to transport as well which is great if you must take the food to a party locationI also like that you can throw them away when you are done which makes clean up a breezeAlso they are very durable so you can cook pretty much anything in them including pasta dishes, meats, or baked beansI don't think it's a good idea to reuse disposable pans because there is still going to be food residue left on the pan no matter how hard you scrubStuff tends to stick fast even if cooking spray is usedYou also run the risk of there being a weak spot in the pan because of using it againYou could have something leak out in your oven or the dish might not hold up the next time you use itIt would be a much better idea to just go buy a new one each time you cook something in the aluminum pans.
do what she said and also add chives and parsley
I use them when i have to prepare a quantity of a particular dish for a cook out or a pot luckI never re-use themwhen cooking and entertaining at home I use attractive/decorative serving bowls, platters to enhance the eye appeal of my food.
I ONLY use them when cooking LARGE amounts of foodfor 40-50 people, and I don't reuse themA regular use at our home is Lasagnawe will make 10 tins at a time, and freeze 8 of them for later useHelps given our family of 7.
