Question:

How does excessive wires and excessive electrical equipments fuels global warming?

How does electrical copper wires aid to temperature rise?! I don't think it is also associated with carbon emission as carbon emission mostly come from vehicles and manufacturing industry.

Answer:

Breathing causes Global warming.Everything causes warming it's cold down here in Florida where's the heat.Wiring doesn't cause warming the power to produce the electricity does.I guess the Gov wants use to stop everything and go back to the stone age.
What you are most likely talking about is not the wire itself, but all the steps needed to make the wire. First, the mining process is typically done in large, open pit mines, which are typically several miles in diameter and several miles deep. The vehicles used to mine and transport the copper ore burn copious amounts of fossil fuels. Then you move on to the smelting process. The smelting of copper ore is not easy. The smelting process (melting and refining the ore) takes massive amounts of heat and energy. The burning and melting process releases massive amounts of pollution, especially carbon, along with other nasties, like sulfur dioxide, which is why we are having so many problems with acid rain. Since we use copper in all of our electronics, and we are a consumerist society focused on new gadgets, the wires used to make said gadgets accounts for a large percentage of global warming pollution.
I'm with you on this one as I don't see copper wiring as responsible in any way for adding to a perceived imbalance some argue is responsible for global warming. Truth be told, experts are divided in the assessment of warming and many contend global cooling is more of a threat in coming decades. Wire is simply a means of conducting electricity. If we indict (hold criminally responsible) wires, then we must indict electricity itself! That is insanely ridiculous in my opinion. We use machines to offset difficulties and other expenses normally associated with getting things done. Electricity is a tool fueling an offset for human labors in that it makes the machines operate. If there's anything to the global warming issue, it won't be from wires or even machines, it will rest on eliminating the discharge of unwanted contaminants into the Earth's atmosphere with a newly adjusted regard for residual buildup of a growing and eventual threat to ongoing human existence in the future. I think the current debate is a healthy one because it encourages global cooperation and may lead to eventual agreement. I don't like the fact that Mr. Gore rakes in huge amounts of money by speaking out on a subject more the domain of scientists than politicians. Fascinating subject, isn't it? Len

It takes energy to send an electrical signal down a wire, and the longer the wire is, the more energy you will end up using as a result. So longer wire more energy wasted in the wire. As most electrical systems are powered by mains electricity, and they are in turn powered by fossil-fuelled power stations, longer wires more energy wastage more carbon emissions from the power stations. So, carbon emissions are lowered if shorter, and therefore less, wires are used. Also, copper has to be mined which causes local environmental damage as well as carbon emissions in the production and transport of the copper. as carbon emission mostly come from vehicles and manufacturing industry. The breakdown of carbon emissions is actually approximately 30% Heating, 30% Vehicles and 30% electrical power. As 30% of emissions are due to electrical power, clearly, using less electrical equipment would reduce carbon emissions, presuming that there is not a shift to fully renewable power generation such as wind and solar. EDIT: Spongebob, of course its a made up termwords don't just pop out of thin air you know. Still arguing against AGW James? We've moved on.
