All forms of light are created when an atom or molecule drops from a higher energy state to a lower one. The loss of energy which occurs is emitted in the form of light radiation with an energy which exactly matches this drop. There are countless ways the above can occur, such as reactions within stars, electricity flowing through the filament of a light bulb, high-speed collisions between subatomic particles, etc.,.
combustion = A process in which a substance reacts with oxygen to give heat and light.
A transition from a high quantum state to a lower one.
The sun is a ball of gas and some how it started to burn and somehow, it keeps on getting gas to burn. Picture this: god took a bowl, filled it with gas and took the unending spray can of gas, took his lighter, and made a flame ball ish thing that burns. If you're talking about a light bulb, the electricity goes from point A to B to C. Point A and C is the plug, but B is the bulb. Inside is the wire, that is turned in circles and then again. Picture this: little men walking, till they get to the circles, and then they start to get tired because they keep turning and when you're tired you start to get hot and if something gets very hot it starts to glow and that's how light bulbs work
