Not unless the heat pump is pumping cool air!
It sounds like you have done just about all that can be doneHere are a few basic things you may or may not knowHeat pumps don't do well below 35 degrees and that is a basic problemIf your thermostat is set up correctly, it should turn on the back up (or some call it the emergency) hat automaticallyIn fact it comes on every time the unit defrosts but most people aren't aware of thatIt will also come on if the heat pump can't keep up with the thermostat reading You didn't state how big the windows were in the bedroom and on what side of the house the room wasThose might be a factorA room on the north side gets less sun during the day and that tends to make the room cooler Just radiation through the window can also make a differenceOur bedroom has a pretty good size window and it tends to be a about 2 degrees cooler than the middle of the house If I understand, you are getting plenty of air flow into the room nowHave you checked the temperature of the air coming out of that register? Maybe there is an insulation problem with some of the ducting that could let the air cool off too muchWhat is the temperature from the other registers in the house?
Make your own mini greenhouseYou'll need 2, 5 gal paint buckets, large roll of heavy duty aluminum foil, 30 lb bag of potting soil, 1 heat lamp for chicken coop, duct tapePoke holes in the bottom of one container for drainage, Cut round hole in the bottom of the other to fit light fixture, line the insides of both containers with the aluminum foilFill one halfway with soil and plant the pepperTape the light fixture in the other and place upside down, on top of the plant.
