with wire tops is the humidity goes right trough the topWhat I did was cut out trash bad to fit and then cut out holes for my lampAnother thing could be your substrateI started with aspen but it was horrible for humidity so i switched to 100% cyprus mulchYou can get it at most pet stores or even lowes for a lower costJust make sure its 100% and that no pestisides were usedAnother trick that I do occasionally is put a wet paper towel in the tank directly under the lampAs it dries the humidity will be releasedHope this helps!
You dont really need tooooo much humidity for ball pythonsThe towel should helpYou can switch to a sterilite shoebox container if your really that concerned(holds humidity better).
