I need to know if tackling a electrical light project by myself is doable, I have a fundamental understanding of electronics (no electrical background though)
I have done electrical work since i was 10 working with dad. I just retired with many city and state licenses. Most house fires are caused by people trying to do what you are. I'm not saying you can't but there are so many codes you could violate that could cause your home owners insurance to become null and void. I've personally seen it many times. A guy burned down a $750,000 house wiring up a fountain in his back yard because of loose wires he connected. Get an Electrician.
its actually alot easier than you might think. i have set up a couple of these before and i am only 19 if you have ever messed around with wires here and there it should be very easy i suggest following the instructions on your first time though or also try looking up on youtube or somthing like that they have to have ways to install sconces you will need a fish for the wires almost certainly also just invite a couple buddies over buy a case a beer and take a day to mess around with it, it might take longer then expected but it is fun and learning just dont get to drunk lol hope you are able to do it and have fun
Well it really depends a lot on what power is available. If you have a plug below each area, run a wire up to a hole you cut out for a switch box, then run a wire from there to each of your lights. That's a basic set up. I hope that helps.
