I baked a cake last week and planned on icing itEnded up not having time to finish it so put it in the freezerIt's been a week since the cake was put in the freezerI finally have some time today to ice it, but has it been in the freezer too long? Can I frost and eat it today, or it is just garbage now b/c it's been in the freezer too long? Thanks!
The Jersey knits ( get the 100% cotton ones) are soft you just have to be sure to wash them with light colors and things like t-shirts and sweats and cottons100% Flannel cotton is nice tooBoth because they are cotton and breath are good all year roundBecause they are 100% cotton you can bleach them if needed Never wash them with things with zippers or towels.
There's a product called blueing in the detergent sectionWash the towels with some detergent and bleachFollow the directions on the blueing but i believe you add a few drops to the rinse water once the washer is full of water.Dilute it with some water before adiing it to the rinse cycle.
buy a set of 100% cotton sheets that are at least 250 to 300 thread countUse Clorox Bleach 1/2 cup to 1 cup in cold water with your usual detergent and launder your bed sheets at least every other week (every week would be best, but not less often than every 2 weeks) If you get little balls on your bedsheets it's because the sheetws are synthetic, not 100% cottonIf dinghy it's from body oils, we often sweat when sleeping, and from not laundering sheets often enough, and if you use Clorox Bleach (the best bleach) when laundering your white cotton linens, they wont ever become dinghyIn summer, if possible, hang the fresh laundered sheets outside on a clothesline, in the sunshine, which is a natural bleaching agentThese tips will pretty much guarantee clean white soft sheetsNever buy sheets that are anything but all cottonPolyester is not a good fiber to sleep onI don't care if my sheets aren't 100% wrinkle free, as long as they are 100% cottonIf you fold the sheets after they come out of dryer or off clothes line, they will have very few wrinkles when you put them on bedThere is nothing that smells better than clean sheets that were hung outside in fresh air and sunshine and are now on your bed at nightWhen you get into bed and smell that natural fragrance you'll understandIt's incredible The reason I swear by Clorox to get Whites White, is because NASA uses Clorox on all spaceships when they reenter earths atmosphere as it decontaminates better than any other bleach.
Egyptian sheets are lovely and soft but make sure you buy the good ones, once you have slept on them you won't go back.
