I had it done yesterday and it's still burning like hell. I also had both tragus' and a helix at the same time, sleeping is the worst thing ever... When will the constant pain stop? How long will it take for it to become unnoticable like all my other piercings?Any ideas/tips to ease the pain? I do rock salt soaks twice a day for 10 mins each which helps a little...
while i'm bored, I %. up the e book i'm analyzing, and severe tail it right down to Starbucks! (P.S. if the surely comfiest chairs in Starbucks are accessible, i might plop myself down there for an hour or so, merely sitting there, =yawn=, sipping my espresso, with my nostril in my well known e book, =sigh=, listening to the staggering sounds of the busy city, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...)
ibuprofen and lots of it.
Unfortunately, a scaffolding piercing can take a lot longer for the pain to stop. It may take a few weeks before you can sleep on it comfortably, but by then it should be okay just normally (e.g. when not resting on it.) I'm not sure how to ease the pain really, I just put up with it. xD I'm not sure if rock salt is the same as sea salt? But if so, keep that up as you are.
My industrial piercing stopped hurting after about four days, and then a couple of weeks later it was able to tolerate accidentally being knocked around. It's still a bit tender when I clean it with salt water and a Q tip, but when I had it done there was this build up of dried blood that sort of increased the pain. Cleaning that off helped greatly.
