Question:

How long should i leave on my volkswagen jetta 1.8 2003 on before and after using it?

I know u have to wait a few moments to turn off the engine after using it and to leave it on before drivinghow long exactly is good? cuz i think im waiting to longI wait about 3 min or soi dont think my car has a turbo timeri got it at an auctioni dont see it inside the car but sometimes when i turn off the engine after waiting i hear the engine is still on and i thought i had a turbo timer but it would turn off only a few seconds later like 10 or soi was left with confusiondo u think i might have a turbo timer but the previous owner took the control for it inside?

Answer:

I think thats a good price! (Ive got a 4yo tb too!!! though she's a mare3) Not sure on the saddle x
I think you got a good deal for all of thatAnd I have a Pessoa saddle and I LOVE IT! I have had it sense I was 13 (im 20 now) and It is still very comfy and looks greatI have left it out in the rain and have had mold on it and whenever i clean it it, It looks greatIt is very light too and has good padding under for the horse)
20-30 seconds is enough time for the turbo to spool downYou do realize this is a hot running engine and absolutely needs synthetic oil, VW required it after 2004, long after many people suffered from engine failures due to sludge formation, synthetic oil does not form sludgeOil dripping usually pick up dirt from wherever it seeps through and looks blackNothing to worry aboutTry adding a can of gasket/seal conditionerI had some sucess with the stuff on small gasket leaks, to the point the leak never came back after the next oil change even though I did not use the stuffOne more pointVW uses plastic impeller water pump, driven off the timing beltIf the car ever overheats suddenly, it could be the water pumpDo not drive the car, the aluminium block does not take kindly to being overheatedSpeaking of timing belts, it needs to be replaced every 60k miles or 90k kilometers, this is a full interference engine, if the belt breaks you will bend valves, potentially damage pistons.
you are getting a great deal a lot of this stuff will cast $15-$30 a pice so yeah you are getiing a great deal.
That is a very good dealJust make sure it's all good quality and in good condition before buying.
