e.g copper malachite, copper chrome, copper oxide pper sulphides, copper bonite
Clement, There are lots and LOTS of mine-able copper ores. There are far too many to list here... probably 50 or more. But the most common ones you will encounter are: bornite, chalcopyrite, cuprite, chalcocite, covellite, malachite, azurite, chrysocolla, and native copper. edit: Apolo: I think your answer gives too much unneeded information and is not really in the spirit of the question. This person is asking about viable copper ores, he did not ask for a list of every mineral that contains copper. I'm a professional mineralogist and I could have easily used the resources available to me to look up potentially hundreds of copper containing minerals, but no mineralogist would consider something like volborthite a viable ore of copper.
I'll try a more complete list. Look in the source links and you can learn about each mineral.
