Question:

How much does a coffee can full of cement weigh?

I was just wondering and is there also some better ways to make home made barbells and dumbbells? I am on extreme budget but want to get fitter. I was thinking of cutting two coffee cans in half and filling with cement to make dumbbells for one arm clean and presses and such. Also making a barbell the same way with full cans. Is there anything bigger I can fill with cement for barbell. Also how much would a full (of cement) coffee can weigh? Any other REALLY cheap ideas for home workout equipment? I also need a pull-up bar (at home) and a back hyper extension bench or table. Dip bars would be good too. Is steel pipe cheap, would it cost much to make a pull-up rig like Rocky's in Rocky Balboa. Lets say that three months at a gym cost 180, could I do it for less than this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Answer:

i'm not sure i will fill a coffee can full of cement and weigh it and then i will let you know.
If you can not lose your excess weight, if it always come back those additional pounds and you do not know what to do? – don’t desperate because is a way to solve this bad problem. let the science and the very good meals work for you and you will achieve that waste of pounds that you often wanted and require it.
well i think coffe cans come in lots of different sizes don't they? they have edges that could hurt you too. Most gym equipment has all rounded edges incase you drop them on your toes. Have you heard of freecyle. I think most countries have it. It's a service were people send emails in of things they don't want anymore and all you have to to is go pick it up for free. You have to give away some of your own things too and you only get e mails of things available in your own local area and you can also send out a wanted e mail if there is something specific you need like gym equipment. I put a wanted ad for a huge aquarium and got offered one two by two by four foot, it's massive and all i had to do was go and pick it up!
Why do a coffee can of cement when you can do a gallon milk jug of sand or water. The cost of the cement might also be the cost of the weights. You can buy second hand weights pretty cheap and walmart isn't that expensive. For a pull up bar you can go to the playground and use the monkey bars, use a branch, etc... For dip bars use two chairs on either side of you. Book bags filled with books work for weights too. Go to wikihow and see other peoples stuff. If you google homemade weights you get a lot of ideas. Sandbags are a good idea too.
