how much is an aluminum overhead hoist worth?
That's very vague considering the range of option for overhead hoists. What is it's weight rating? Is it freestanding or is this just a rail system that need to be attached to building? Manual chain pull or electric winch? A freestanding cherry picker type hoist with 2000lbs rating and chain pull would be worth upwards of $200.
