Question:

How much is the cost for hitting a fire hydrant?

I live in California and my kids were riding their dune buggy yesterday in a dirt field and hit a fire hydrant. It spewed water for about an hour before it was finally under control. It is not insured and the fire dept told us they we would get a bill. Does anyone know what this will cost. I assume they will charge us for the water and repairs to the hydrant.

Answer:

Ooooh, I remember when I went to camp with my friend! You'll have fun, don't worry! Bring the scrapbook and your stuffed animal. They'll bring you comfort and make you feel at home. It won't be weird- everybody will bring stuff like that from home!
Infrared is basically a color. Humans can't see this color because it is beyond red, as in yellow, orange, red, infrared. Some animals can see infrared. Radiant energy has an infinite range of frequencies. A small part of this range is what we see as colors. Below that tiny range of all the colors is infrared, and above it is ultraviolet. When you make a campfire, a whole range of energies are involved - red, yellow, orange, infrared, blue. You might consider a campfire manmade. If you heat iron in a fire, it will glow red, and if really hot, orange or yellow. As it cools off, it will go back to red, then infrared. When hot iron glows infrared, we can't see it. We feel it as heat, though.
That's just to help during the night when you have bad dreams
