For hydropower how much MWh can be generated with same capacity plant?. (Because plant never run for 24 hours of the day we need a factor to calculate above value)
just multiply 100 MW by the number of hours in a year to get MW-hr per year 100 MW x 24h/day x 365.25 day/yr 876600 MW-hr / year If it's not running 24 hours a day, just substitute the correct number. .
They sure do run 24 hours a day. Maybe not 365 days a year - allow maybe 1 week down time for maintenance. If you have a particular generator in mind, look up the operating specs for it.
there are about 2000 ,working hours a year on 40 hour work week. I would guess about 200000
