Question:

How much would a tool that can bend a 4 metal tube (thin walled) cost approximately?

Generally speaking how much would the cheapest machine cost that could bend something like a 3quot; or 4quot; pipe/tubeI have seen units as low as $250 that can bend up 2.5quot; pipe manuallyI have also seen units that can bend 12quot; pipe and they can cost like 10 grandI need to bend 3quot; - 4quot; steel and/or aluminum tubes. They will be pretty much as thin walled as i can find themI will be using these tube for air intakes for cars, i just need an idea of what it mightAlso i noticed that there are a variety of different types of benders, so any advice on which type would be best, would be extremely helpful, Thanks.

Answer:

I am assuming from your question that you are referring to the flat (similar to crepes) style English pancakes rather than the thick and fluffy American stylePancake Mixture: 4 oz (100g) plain flour ? teaspoon salt 1 egg ? pint (250 ml) milk Butter for frying Castor sugar and a lemon Sieve the flour and salt, make a well in the centre and add the egg, working the flour from left to rightGradually add the milk, beating to make a smooth batterMelt a small quantity of butter to coat the bottom and sides of a pan (a good non stick pan is best)When it is hot and just starting to smoke, pour in a little pancake batterCook until set and browned underneath, then toss or turn and cook the other sideWe eat ours with fresh fruit and ice cream.
If you want half of that then: 1 cups of the baking mix 1/2 large egg (crack it in a different bowl and then divide) Around 3/4 cups of milk 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract If you want 2/3 then: 1 1/3cups of the baking mix 2/3 large egg A little more than 3/4 cups of milk 1 1/3 tbsp sugar 2/3 tsp vanilla extract If you want a 1/4 of it then: 1/2 cups of the baking mix 1/4 large egg A little more than 1/3 cups of milk 1/4 tbsp sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
The recipe I use is half of the Bisquick recipe1 cup baking mix (Bisquick) 1/2 cup milk 1 eggI (my wife actually) sometimes adds a bit more milk and the sugar and vanilla extract so I think that you will be fine halving all the ingredients but keeping it to one egg.
either follow some of the others math work and half the recipe or fry all the pancakes, cool well and freeze in baggies so you can toast them for pancakes another dayI make homemade batter and used to do that all the timeThen on a busy morning, when the kids wanted pancakes, no problem, there were frozen ones available.
If you are bending thin walled tubing you will need a Mandrel Tube Bender for the best performanceThese machines are pricey but you also get what you pay forIf you go cheap on a bender then you will get cheap parts for your auto'sThis is a good site for a great Mandrel Bender.
