I'm thinking about buying a 71 nova but all its missing is a engine and transmission.Everything is in great condition.I just want to know the cost for labor not for parts
DONT GET INTO THIS HEAD soreness. a million issues will flow incorrect. rather, purchase yet another automobile. The Es three hundred s aren't to any extent further that tremendous.. human beings would disagree yet I really have owned some and really the ninety 2-ninety six are the great es three hundred made... that you'll discover inexpensive on craigslist and such issues as that.. enable me recognize peace
even if you ae slightest bit mechanically inclined you can do it youself in a weekend with some friends and some beer. lol. but if you take it to a mechanic it's probly gonna be around $500
Very few mechanics will install an engine/transmission for you unless they provide the parts. But figure it as a eight-hour job minimum at today's rates of $60 or so an hour... $400-plus in labor. Best of luck to you... p.s. Be prepared to purchase extra, unforseen parts... i.e. motor mounts, radiator, hoses, belts, water pump, alternator, battery, electrical cables, starter, wiring harnesses, brake lines, power-steering pump, coil, distributor, fuel pump... etc.
Get a engine hoist and some friends and do it your self its pretty easy
