I'm just curious about how often people vacuum. I have gone through yet another vacuum cleaner in a little over a year. I think it is because I vacuum every day sometimes twice a day and most people I know have vacuums that last years but they only do it once a week...possibly twice a week at the most. Thanks!
Well, around my house I'm big on house rules such as; shoes off at the door, no eating in the living room, and everyone making an effort to clean up after themselves. This way I usually only have to vacuum once or twice a week.
Buy a better vacuum. We have an Oreck (basic model, nothing fancy) and it has lasted us about 6 years. We do have hard wood and tile though with minimal rugs - less wear on the vacuum. We also have dogs which means a lot of hair - we vacuum every other day.
LOL..Not as much as I would like. My Daughter HATES the Vacuum cleaner and I cant vacuum when she is hear, nor when she is asleep. Also, Im a SAHM so she is here with me all the time. But,I vacuum once or twice a week when my Mom has her.
I vacuum everyday. Before my son was born I vacuumed about 2-3 times a week. My son has always spent alot of time on the floor.... and now he is 7 months and crawling.... so I like to vacuum everyday to keep the floors nice and clean for him. LOL..... I burn through vacuum cleaners too. My husband is always giving me a hard time about it..... but hey...... I want a damn clean house....... if you find a vacuum cleaner that lasts more then a year at a time.... let me know..... I have yet to find one!
It's the vacuum you are buying. My stepmother used to vacuum the entire house (four bedrooms, 2 living rooms, stairs) everyday and her vacuum cleaners lasted years.
