Our (oil) boiler is about 5 years old (we just moved in 1 year ago). We haven't had any problems with it, however wanted to know what is the best plan of action? Do we/should we maintain it? If so, about how much does that cost?
Annual checkup/service is strongly recommended by most boiler manufacturers. This is to ensure that the boiler is working to the specifications designed by the boiler manufacturer, and will help prolong the life of the boiler as well as reduce the risk of faults and expensive repairs in the future. As for cost, you should call plumbers in your area for estimates, since prices vary widely by region, type of system, etc.
every 2-4 years probley $2000 at tops (if there is a problem)
You should perform annual maintenance. Costs can very.
