Question:

How should I clean/wash my jacket?

The tag says not to wash, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron dry. It says to dry clean BUT I just wanted to know if I can wash it on the delicate cycle and then air dry it??

Answer:

A jacket should tolerate getting weight, so I would think that gentle, hand washing in woolite, should be O.K
if it says dry clean it then get it dry cleaned. If you wash it you stand a good chance of shrinking the material!
If you follow the instructions as mentioned below then you will clean or wash your jacket properly. The process are discussed below: 1) Give the jacket a quick wipe. 2) Consider using a proprietary leather stain-removal spray. 3) Hand wash your jacket with lukewarm water and a mild liquid soap. 4) Dip a soft cleaning cloth into olive oil. 5) Gently rub the oil coated cloth over the stain or dirt mark on the jacket. 6) Rub the spot with a little white vinegar. 7) Mix equal parts of white vinegar and olive oil. 8) Polish with a clean cloth. 9) Add two tablespoons of laundry detergent to the washing machine detergent receptacle. 10) Zip up the jacket and clear out the pockets. 11) Fill the machine with cold water on the smallest load setting. 12) Remove. 13) Dry the jacket.
