Go with the key limes .. they have a milder taste, even though it takes a lot more of them to make a pie with lol .. you could probably substitute regular limes, but being a purist, it just wouldn't be the same. Try it both ways, who knows, you mite like regular limes better
If you can find them, use the key limes even though regular limes make a good pie too. I usually end up buying bottled key lime juice for my key lime pies because I cannot easily find key limes.
