Question:

How to change keyboards.?

I got a wireless keyboard. I switched the letters around so that I could use it as a Dvorak keyboard. Is it possible for me to use both keyboards. Not at the same time, but switch back and forth so that other people could use the laptop's keyboard and I can use the wireless.

Answer:

If one keyboard is wireless connected and the other is wired, then you should be able to have both keyboards working at the same time. The computer might get a bit confused if the keyboard layouts are different, and you use the wrong keyboard for a particular language or keyboard layout setting. I have just connected a wireless keyboard to one of my XP PCs, which has a wired keyboard. I could type characters in on either keyboard without any problem. Even a wireless mouse and a wired mouse worked at the same time. The only issue might be if the receiver for the wireless keyboard plugs into a round wired keyboard socket. You might have to unplug one to plug in the other. I used a wireless keyboard with a USB receiver, while the main keyboard plugs in to the round socket. With the wireless mouse, the receiver was in one USB socket and the wired mouse was plugged into another USB socket. (My PC has 4 USB sockets.) I hope this helps.
