Question:

How to cook a chuck roast?

I don't have a crock pot nor a dutch oven.I have tin foil and a pan so,I placed the roast both in the tin foil and pan.then I sliced some onions and patatoes and placed them all around the roast.I slit the roast down the middle and seasoned it with garlic and salt and pepper.and added about 192;4 of melted butter, hoping this might tenderize it.then wrapped up the roast in the tin foil but aout a cup and a half of up of waterin the pan and poked holes in the tin foil on the top.placed the roast in the oven on 350.does this sound about right or did I do it right lol sorry.first time wife wanna feed the hubby good oh yea how long should I cook it for?I put it on at 3 pm its 2.17 lbs

Answer:

If it's supposed to be cooked from frozen, you have nothing to worry aboutLeave it in for the appropriate time.
Take your chicken back out and thaw it firstYou will never get it cooked rite if it is frozenSet it in some water in the kitchen sink for about an hour untill it is thawed out then put some Garlic powder, herbs of any kind (like basil, thyme, oregano they will be in the spice cabinet) salt and pepper on it and bake it at 375 for about one and one half hours.
A whole chicken is usually cooked after it is thawed BECAUSE most of those chickens have little paper packets in the cavities that include the giblets and neckBut that won't really hurt anyone Since it is frozen you will need more than 50-60 minutes to cook itCheck it every 15 minutes and when the leg looks like it is separating from the body, it is doneGood luck!
