Question:

How to deal with the burning of 6061 aluminum bars in hard oxidation?

How to deal with the burning of 6061 aluminum bars in hard oxidation?

Answer:

This is because the anodic oxidation process can not effectively heat dissipation, resulting in severe overheating. At first, the burning is localized.
Small spots appear in the anodic oxide film on the spot, after the dissolution and loss gradually expanded around. Overheating may be due to the electrical contact area is not enough, the distance between cathode and anode too close, mixing insufficient or incomplete mixing caused by uneven temperature in sulfuric acid electrolyte of aluminum content is too high.
The burning of aluminum rod is caused by the appearance of excessive appearance when the current density is too large (possibly partial) during anodizing. This is the result of localized or universal catastrophic dissolution of the anodic oxide film, and at the same time, partial or total dissolution of the metal under the film may occur.
